Nutritional advice and lifestyle choices during pregnancy
Importance of Healthy Food
A healthy and varied diet is crucial during your pregnancy. It contributes to the development of your baby. Although you do not necessarily have to eat more, it is essential to consciously choose healthy food.
Toxoplasmosis: Risks and Prevention
Toxoplasmosis can be dangerous for your unborn child. Reduce the risk by washing vegetables and lettuce thoroughly and heating meat and fish thoroughly. Avoid contact with cat feces by, for example, wearing gloves while gardening and avoiding changing the litter box.
Listeria: Nutritional advice
Listeria can have serious consequences for your baby. Be careful with raw milk cheeses ('au lait cru'), raw fish and vacuum-packed products. Choose pasteurized or sterilized products and avoid raw shellfish.
Vitamin A: Dosage during Pregnancy
Excessive vitamin A intake can be harmful. Avoid liver products and organ meats. Choose multivitamins especially for pregnant women, where the dosage of vitamin A has been adjusted.
Caffeine and Energy Drinks: Restrictions
High caffeine intake can be harmful to your baby. Limit yourself to a maximum of two cups of coffee per day and avoid energy drinks.
Alcohol use during pregnancy
Alcohol has a negative influence on your baby's development. It can lead to Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and other health problems. The advice is not to drink alcohol from the moment you wish to become pregnant.
Smoking: Consequences and Help with Quitting
Smoking during pregnancy increases the risk of serious health problems for your baby. If you have difficulty quitting smoking or drinking alcohol, we offer support and help. You don't have to do this alone.
